I'll admit something: I arrived suspicious. A booking that takes weeks to land usually means fashion, and fashion rarely feeds you well. Then the meal began, and the pacing won me over before any single plate did. Courses came when we were ready for them, not when the pass was; the kitchen watched the room the way my mother watched a pot. What they cook in this tiny Gràcia room follows the market week by week, modern in shape but with opinions you can taste, playful without silliness. Service knows its business and lets you eat. My complaint stands, though. When a table asks this much planning of you, supper becomes an appointment, and I like my suppers spontaneous. Worth the diary work once in a while, all the same, and I'll grumble while booking.
Order this: Ask what came in from the market this week and order that.

Half the table wanted the dish going past, and we nearly changed the order to match; in a room this small you eat with your neighbours' eyes. We held firm, and that week's vegetables were the right call: market cooking with an actual point of view, the season on the plate rather than a template. Confident, a bit playful, and better than my patience for the difficult reservation. Once a year is my realistic limit, which says more about the booking than the cooking.
One plate of whatever the market offered that week, cooked by someone with a genuine point of view, and you understand the fuss over this tiny room in Gràcia. Then the bill lands, gentler than cooking this confident usually costs, almost apologetic about itself. The catch is the reservation, which you will work for. Worth the effort on the days curiosity and patience arrive together.
