Our take
Up in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi the sidewalks empty out early, and this little vinoteca glows at the end of its block like somebody's living room. It's a wine shop first, let's be clear, with bar tastings and a short supporting cast of food, so ordering strategy matters. Here's mine: bottle first, always. Browse the shelves, commit to a name you've never heard of, then let the small plates trail along behind it. Flip that order and the night goes flat, because the cooking is competent rather than compelling and was never meant to headline. As a wine stop with snacks it works well, and the bill stays gentle, which counts for plenty these days. I wouldn't build an evening around it. As the first act of one, though? Happily, about once a year.
Order this: Bottle first, something unfamiliar off the shelves, then small plates chosen to match it.

The panel — every critic who went
Unanimous — all agreeMy grumble is minor: on a wet November evening, the draught from the door found our table every time it opened. The wine made up for it. The list is evidently what the house is proudest of, the food a supporting act content with the role, and the bill stays polite. Not somewhere I'd build a night around, but as shelter for a glass while Sarrià drips outside, it serves very well.
The wine list is doing the heavy lifting here, and everyone involved seems to know it. Bottles come out with more care than the cooking musters, advice is offered freely and well, and the by-the-glass choices are genuinely interesting. The kitchen plays a supporting role and sensibly doesn't audition for more. As a stop for a glass and a nibble, agreeable; as a destination, a stretch. Once a year suits us both.
Between us, I expected more from the walk than from the supper, and Sant Gervasi proved me half right. Wine is the pride of this small house; the shelves announce it before anyone speaks. The cooking keeps to its supporting role, decent, unremarkable, and it costs you little. A useful address for a glass and something modest when the bottles are the reason you came; one evening a year covers it.
