My one grumble arrives early: the list at La Graciosa is short, and on a busy night the bottle you wanted may already be gone. Get past that and this is a gentle place to be. It sits on a quiet Gràcia street, the sort where the evening drifts in from the squares, neighbours pausing at the door on their way home, and the bar seems to belong to the block rather than to any scene. The wine leans low-intervention, poured by people who plainly drink it themselves, and the intent is honest even when the range runs thin. It hasn't joined my regulars; once a year feels right, a slow tast when Gràcia is in a soft mood. Ask them to point you somewhere, expect no fireworks, and take the pleasant evening on its own terms.
Order this: A glass of whatever they've just opened at the low-intervention end; let them choose.

Three whites chalked on the slate, none of them familiar, so I let the pourer decide. In a bar this small the list cannot hide behind volume; it is personal or it is nothing, and here it is personal, drunk by the very people serving it. My glass was alive, if simple, and Gràcia suits this modest register. I enjoyed the hour without being detained by it, and one evening a year of that is precisely enough.
October suits it best, when Gràcia slows down and a glass by the window feels like plenty. Locals guard this bar the way you guard a good plumber, and no wonder: bottles opened by people who drink them themselves, zero salesmanship. Friends of mine call the list too short to visit twice. Allora, they are not wrong, only impatient. I return every few months, ask for whatever is open, and leave happy.
