Our take
Second visit, and I spent the opening stretch checking whether the charm had been a fluke. It hadn't. Maleducat still runs on mischief: the name winks at bad manners while the welcome does the opposite, and the Sant Antoni room feels loose in a city that can take itself very seriously. First time around I was dazzled by the personality. This time I watched the cooking more coldly, and look, it isn't flawless; a plate or two coasts on charisma. But the value holds up under inspection, and heart carries a meal further than polish does. The tourist trail hasn't found it yet. Go on a weekday, since Sundays they're closed, and let the place flirt with you a little.
Order this: One playful sharing plate, one classic, and whatever the server seems excited about.

The panel — every critic who went
Unanimous — all agreeOne dish in, I put down the menu and picked up the wine list, which turns out to be the sleeper strength here: short, priced kindly, served by staff who ask what you like before recommending anything. Whoever chose it drinks well. The name teases bad manners; nothing else in the room does. For somewhere I only manage yearly, it lodges in the memory with surprising stubbornness.
Small room, easy manners, whatever the name threatens; the welcome could not be kinder. Deciding what to order took me longer than it should have: the short menu pulls in several directions, and I couldn't locate the kitchen's centre of gravity from reading it. What arrived was likeable, a couple of dishes better than that. I left content but mildly puzzled, and pencilled in another look next year.
