Our take
We're seated, watered, and left alone within minutes, which in the Gòtic feels almost radical. Rasoterra runs at its own unhurried speed: the room is calm and the welcome genuine, and those first ten minutes set the tone for everything after. This is vegetarian cooking that never lectures you about being vegetarian, plates with real lightness, a natural wine poured without ceremony. My honest read: sensible more than thrilling. I've never left wowed; I've also never left hungry or annoyed, and in this neighborhood that combination is rarer than it should be. Prices stay fair and the pacing stays humane. Every few months, when I want a well-made dinner and no drama, this is where I book.
Order this: Ask which vegetable the kitchen is proudest of that week, then follow it.

The panel — every critic who went
Unanimous — all agreeA heavy, airless afternoon in the old town, the kind that demands one eat lightly, and this vegetarian kitchen answered with unexpected grace: vegetables and legumes treated with a precision one hopes for and seldom receives, cuissons exact, seasoning measured, no sermon on the side. The short wine list follows the same quiet logic. Thrilling? No. Correct, calm, fairly priced; in that heat, virtue enough. It will see me again before the autumn is out.
Mid-afternoon on a weekday is when this kitchen shows to best advantage: light through the room, no rush anywhere, vegetable cookery precise enough to convert a sceptic. Dinner offers the same food with less charm; the pace tightens and some of the ease drains away. It holds a spot on my rota a few times a year, always at lunch. Dinner can look after itself.
Ten past one, coat still on, and we were already seated, menus down, water poured, no ceremony made of any of it. No sermon about vegetables either, which I'd feared from a vegetarian kitchen. The greens get the same handling my mother gave a good chicken, and the room stays calm as it fills. Sensible cooking rather than thrilling, I mean that kindly, and I'll keep a corner of the calendar for it.
